We are so excited to kickoff our 2020 spring recruitment season. For the next week, you can catch us around campus recruiting people to join our committees. We are offering seven committees this year; below you can read what each committee plans on doing to help out our organization!
Corporate Relations: Do you enjoy building relationships with businesses and people? If so, corporate relations committee could be the place for you. Committee members will work on managing relationships with corporate partners and donors in order to improve retention and engagement for organization events. They will be working directly with corporations, businesses, and individual donors. They will also assist in planning our annual golf tournament. This committee is tailored toward Terry students, but all majors are welcome! Meetings will be on Tuesdays at 5pm.
Child Relations: Do you enjoy children? If so, child relations could be the place for you. Committee members will work on building relationships with our kids and their families. Some activities include making birthday cards for the children, committee fundraisers, and participating in our Hang Out With HEROs mentor program! Meetings will be on Tuesdays at 7pm.
Finance: Do you enjoy working with numbers? If so, finance committee could be the place for you. Committee members will work on ensuring the financial stability of our organization. If you're a detail-oriented person, who is looking for experience with projecting finances and producing financial reports, this is the committee for you! Meetings will be on Wednesdays at 6pm.
Public Relations and Media: Do you enjoy writing, photography, or graphic design? If so, the public relations and media committee could be the place for you. Committee members will work on producing and writing content to show off our organization! Members will be able to gain experience with blogging, photography, videography, graphics, and managing social media. This committee is tailored towards Grady and Lamar Dodd students, but all majors are welcome. Meetings will be on Wednesday at 7:30pm.
Events: Are you interested in planning social events? Or do you know of any fun places you think kids would enjoy? If so, the events committee could be the place for you. Committee members will help put on member events, host kid events, and celebration events. If you're a detail-oriented person who wants to create engaging experiences for our organization members and kids, this committee is for you!
Fundraising: Are you good at brainstorming new ideas? Do you like planning fundraising campaigns? If so, fundraising committee could be the place for you. Committee members will work on creating fundraising campaigns and helping organization members and community partners raise money for our cause. If you're a creative, big-picture person who wants to make an impact, this committee is for you! Meetings will be on Thursdays at 5pm.
WOW: Do you like coming up with crazy and unique ideas? IF so, WOW committee could be the place for you. Committee members will work on coming up with ideas for helping spread our organization's message: "If it's not WOW, it's not worth doing!" If you have a big personality, creative spirit
and are looking to plan fun experiences, this committee is for you! Meetings will be on Thursdays at 6pm.
Whatever committee you decide to join, you will be able to build your resume and develop your skill set while helping serve our amazing kids. Each committee will dare you to dream up some crazy ideas that will help our organization excel. We need you in order to help our kids. So if you see us around campus, don't be a stranger!
