Undergraduate: Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Auburn University
Graduate: Masters in History from Auburn University

Work Highlights / Honors / Awards:

• Coach Dooley's leadership as Head Football Coach from 1964 - 1988 earned him a place in the College Football Hall of Fame as well as the 1980 National Championship, Six SEC Championships (1966, 68, 76, 80, 81, 82), and 201 victories.
• As Athletic Director, Georgia teams won 20 national championships including an unprecedented four during the 1998-99 year (women's swimming, gymnastics, men's tennis, men's golf) as well as 78 SEC team championships.
• Due to his outstanding reputation of leadership and integrity, Coach Dooley has led many of the most prestigious collegiate sports initiatives including: Chairman of the National Sportsmanship/Fan Behavior Summit (2003), and Past President of the National Association of Collegiate Athletics Directors (1999).

Community Involvement:

His community service and charity work is extensive and includes work with the Heart Fund, Multiple Sclerosis, Juvenile Diabetes, Boy Scouts, the Salvation Army and has served 28 years as the long-standing chairman of the Georgia Easter Seals Society.

Personal Interests:

Coach Dooley's personal hobbies include history, political science, and horticulture. He is married to the former Barbara Meshad of Birmingham with four children: Deanna, Daniel, Denise, and Derek and ten grandchildren.

Coolest thing I've done...

Coach Dooley's coolest memories include flying with the Blue Angels Air Squad, meeting Nelson Mandela, and running the 1996 Olympic Torch inside Sanford Stadium.
