Education

Undergraduate: Bachelor of Arts in Finance, University of Miami, '82

Work Highlights:

• In his first three seasons at UGA, Coach Richt led his team to win two SEC Eastern Division titles, one SEC championship, and his 32-8 record is fifth best in the country since 2001.
• After Georgia's first SEC championship in 20 years in 2002, the Bulldogs defeated Florida State, 26-13, in the Nokia Sugar Bowl and finished the season ranked number three.
• Richt had the 'Dogs back in the title game again in '03, defeated Purdue in the Capital One Bowl, and had the 'Dogs in the top ten again with a final USA Today/ESPN Coaches ranking of 6th and a final AP ranking of 7th.

Honors / Awards / Community Involvement:

Coach Richt was the consensus choice for SEC Coach of the Year and finalist for the Bear Bryant National Coach of the Year Award in 2002.

Personal:

When he's not winning football games, Coach Richt is a true family man that most enjoys being with his wife, Katharyn, and his four children: John, David, Zack, & Anya.

Coolest thing I've done...

One of Coach Richt's coolest memories came when he had the unique opportunity to spend an hour chatting one-on-one with the legendary evangelist, Dr. Billy Graham.
