For the Children

One of the many things that sets UGA HEROs apart from other fundraising organizations is that we allow our members to interact with the kids one-on-one. Below is a description of the events we host each year for our kids.

HERO Spring Event

UGA HEROs hosts their annual Spring event for the H.E.R.O. children at a different location every year. This is a time for them to get together and explore new places they might have never seen before.

HERO for a Day

Hero for a Day is held at The University of Georgia's Sanford Stadium during the summer. The Legendary Vince Dooley and Mark Richt, along with members from UGA's football team and HERO members, come together and truly focus on the children for one day. HERO kids come in and play games and make unforgettable connections with other children and committee members. This is their day to just be, well, kids!

HERO Olympics

The HERO Olympics is the most-talked about event within UGA HEROs. It is held in Athens at the end of every year. Committee members and philanthropists get together to engage in fun activities, such as face-painting, moon-bounce-slide racing and obstacle-courses galore! This past year the children were also allowed to make a Build-a-Bear. At the end of the day, everyone rallies together for the big fundraising reveal.
